UPCOMING - MITHRA: BLADE OF FURY
As the heir of Cleopatra VII and Caesarion, Mithra was born to rule. Raised in the wisdom of Alexandria’s scrolls, she is entrusted with a sapphire of elemental power tied to the Nile itself. She dreams of being a philosopher-queen of justice and peace, nurturing the land and safeguarding her people, as custodian of the grain that feeds Rome. Her exiled brother, Narset, steps out from the shadows of the East, his hands bloodstained, and his heart consumed by lust for power. Disowned for fratricide, Narset claims Caesarion’s legacy and his mother’s sapphire that he was once denied - but now wields a powerful ruby forged in fire and fury. Egypt falls into chaos, and Rome may strike like a savage beast. War brews in the Faiyum Oasis, the center of the grain supply. To preserve the fragile peace she’s built, Mithra must face a brutal choice: to save her kingdom from the corruption of her brother, she may have to destroy him and any others that defy her rule with a ruthless heart annealed by betrayal.

BOOK CLUB REVIEW
The author did well in describing the setting and actions, immersing the reader in whatever is going on. The vivid descriptions create a clear mental picture of the events, enhancing the reading experience. The book also contains many interesting characters that left a mark on me. Apart from the main character, there were three others that I really loved. Some of the characters have supernatural abilities, which made it more interesting to me. I like that in a book. All in all, it was a good read.
